M-PEC顧問の、上教大英語教師、Ivan Brownさんは、London出身です。
Mr. Ivan Brown is from London, UK. He is one of Advisors of Myoko Powerful English Club (M-PEC) and the language teacher of English in JUEN.
Yoshyは彼と5年以上のお付き合いです。とても謙虚な紳士です。珍しいタイプのイギリス人だと感心しています。
Yoshy has associate with him for over five years. He is very humble gentleman. His character is, Yoshy thinks, rather rare compared to the other average English people.
イギリスのLoyal Familyのトラブルでお分かりの通り、平均的なイギリス人は、自己顕示欲が強く、組織に馴染みにくいとよく言われます。
As you know through many troubles even in Loyal Family of UK, an average English people are often said they are self-assertive or difficult to adapt themselves to their organizations.
日本人はその逆で、自分を抑え、組織の中では波風を立てないことで有名です。
On the contrary, Japanese people are easy to keep control; or easy to adapt themselves to their organizations.
でも、イギリスは、サッカー、ラグビー、クリケットやゴルフの発祥の地、つまり集団スポーツが盛んですし、日本は、相撲、柔道、剣道のような個人戦スポーツが盛んなのは、不思議だとは思いませんか？
However, UK is the birthplace of soccer、rugby、cricket、golf. I.e. group-sports are popular. And Japan is famous for person-to-person sports like sumo, judo, kendo, etc. Why? Don’t you think that’s mysterious?
Yoshyの考えは、スポーツを通じて、自国の国民性が偏らないようにしているのではないかと思っています。
Yoshy’s opinion is as follows; every nation has been making effort so that its nationality wouldn’t become one-sided through the sports.
ところで、Olympic主催に敬意を払って、イギリス・UKの長い正式名を書いておきますね。
