朝顔2種： 2 kinds of morning-glories
初夏に、Rが住居の外壁に2種類の朝顔の種を植えました。
R planted two kinds of morning-glories beside the wall of Yoshy’s residence in the early summer.
今咲き誇っています。
They are now in full bloom.
赤い色のものは、「マルバ・ルコウソウ：丸葉瑠紅草」、英語名は、「サイプレス・ヴァイン」：(檜の蔦)だそうです。
The name of red-colored ones are “Maruba-Rukousou” in Japanese, the English name is “Cypress Vine”; they say.
青い色のものは、「キキョウザキ・アサガオ：桔梗咲朝顔」だそうです。こちらは、英語名を調べましたが、まだ見つかりません。ご存じのお方、お教えくださいませ。
The name of blue-colored ones are “Kikyo-zaki Asagao” in Jpanese, the English name is … though Yoshy tried to check it by a pictorial book, I’ve never found it yet. Won’t you tell me its English name?
薔薇と同じく、朝顔にもたくさんの種類があることに驚いています。
Yoshy is surprised to know there’re so many kinds of morning flowers as well as roses.
