ギン吉と蝸牛 – 深まる秋点描 -
秋が深まっています。
Fall is far advancing day by day.
台風17号が今週末に当地、越後を通過しそうです。
The typhoon 17 seems to pass over here, Echigo this weekend.
澄み切った青空に向かって、「高くより高く！」と叫んでいるのが、銀杏のギン吉です。
Toward clear blue sky, it is a ginkgo: Ginkichi who is crying, “Higher and much higher!”
9月21日（金）、朝の散歩から帰った時、志保屋書店駐車場で、蝸牛を一匹見つけました。
On last Friday, September 21st, when Erie and Yoshy came back home from walking in the morning, I found a snail on the parking lot of Shihoya Bookstore.
踏まれないように、隣家とのコンクリートの塀の上に置きました。
I put it on a concrete fence, the border of a neighboring house so that it wouldn’t be trodden on.
LLシホヤ新井教室下に、エリーを繋いでドッグフードをあげて、また、見に戻りました。
Then, after tying Erie’s lead under LL Shihoya Arai School and giving her dog-food-breakfast, I watched the snail again.
なんとまあ、動きの遅いこと！
How slow it moves!
「下へ降ろして！」と言っている気がしましたので、隣家の畑の土の上に置きました。
I felt like hearing its saying, “Bring me down!” So I put it on the earth of next door’s garden.
ギン吉と違って、エリーと蝸牛は、下ばかり見ています。
Different from Ginkichi, Erie and a snail are always watching their steps.
上下左右観察ばかりして、人の目を気にしている自分が恥ずかしくなりました。
Yoshy is always observing others’ eyes from right to left or up and down. I became ashamed of myself.
