中秋の名月：Harvest Moon
百科事典によると、本来、旧暦の8月15日の満月は、中秋の名月と呼ばれているそうです。
According to an encyclopedia, originally, the full moon on August 15th in the lunar calendar is called chushu-no-meigetsu or harvest moon.
また、中秋の名月は完全な円形で、一年で最も美しい姿をしていると書いてありました。
The encyclopedia says the harvest moon is one of the most beautiful of the year with its perfectly round shape.
今年の中秋の名月は9月30日(日)だそうです。
They say the harvest moon in this year is going to be seen on next Sunday, September 30th.
きっと台風17号が通過しますので、見えないでしょう。
Probably, we can’t see the full moon on the day, because Typhoon 17 is going to cross over here.
ヨッシーが子どもの頃、「土縁(どえん)」と呼んでいた「縁側」に、月見団子、ススキ、栗などを供えて、月見と、虫の音を楽しんだ覚えがあります。
I remember; when Yoshy was a child, my grandmother served tsukimi dango (left), susuki grass (middle) and chestnuts (right) on a floor of a veranda we used to call “do-en”, enjoying watching the moon and listening to the sound of insects.
今は昔。縁側がある家は珍しいですね。
Those were the days. Very few houses have their “do-en”, verandas now, don’t they?
「なさねばならない仕事」は、「したい仕事」と思いたいです。忙しい時代だからこそ、ヨッシーは、「自分の、我が家の時間」を作りたいです。夢かな？
Yoshy wants to change the word: “work to do” into “work to enjoy” in my mind. It is because that we’re in busy and hectic days, that Yoshy would like to make “my or our family’s relaxed time”; hum… which seems a dream, doesn’t it?
