I knew by his email that Mr. S who is one of my friends living at Noshiro City, Akita had no damage in such dreadful raining. I pray for those who had big damage so that the restoration will be finished as early as possible.
今日、8月11日(日)の夕方、お墓掃除に行ってきました。
Today’s evening, Sunday, August 11, 2013; Yoshy went cleaning up our ancestors’ grave.
我が家の小さなお墓は、明治後期に、私の曾祖父が建ててくれました。
Our small ancestors’ grave was built at a later stage of Meiji-era by my great grandfather who had passed away before my birth.
お墓も新築ブームかな？ここ数年、見上げるほど高いお墓が目立ちます。
Are we now in time of a boom of rebuilding graves? Such unique graves like tall ones we have to look up at have caught our eyes in for the past few years.
節操と我執が、同居している世相の終の果てと見えるのは私だけでしょうか？
Yoshy feels this area looks both moderation and selfishness live together and it looks one of the ending phases of our mortal lives. How do you think of my impression?
石一つでも、古墳でも、御霊への精一杯の供養に違いはありません。
Even a small stone or an ancient burial mount, each grave must be a kind of true symbolic figures of memorial service for the dead.
私が生きている限り、数世代の先祖と慈しんでくれた祖母と母が眠るこのお墓を守ります。
Yoshy will take care of this grave where my ancestors, lovely grandmother and mother are sleeping as long as I live.
さて、肩の力を抜いて… .
