瓢箪等を収穫しました：Harvest of Gourds
9月3日(火)朝の妙高山です。
This Mt. Myoko was taken a picture in the morning on Tuesday, September 3rd.
久しぶりに山肌がくっきり見えました。
After so long, we could see its surface very clearly.
グリーンカーテンとしてお世話になった瓢箪、朝顔そして、オキナワスズメウリを取り外しました。
Yoshy and R removed gourds, morning-glories and native bryonies which had helped us as green curtains.
収穫前後の写真です。
These pictures are just before and after harvest.
エリーにとっては、瓢箪は「ネコに小判」(豚に真珠)でした。
Erie wasn’t interested in gourds at all. For Erie, “It was casting pearls before swine.”
早速、Rは「とんぼ玉コーナー」にオキナワスズメウリを飾りました。
Soon R decorated those native bryonies at “Making Glass-beads Corner”.
LLシホヤ新井教室の小学生、中高生に見せたら、エリーのように不思議そうな顔をして、恐る恐る触っていました。
Yoshy showed the gourds to some LL students of LL Shihoya Arai School. They had their wondering faces, touching them very carefully.
