3月18日(火)は、当地も昼過ぎに「春一番らしき風」が吹きました。朝の「桜並木」です。
On Tuesday, March 18th, we had “strong wind which seemed like the first spring-wind” in the early afternoon around here, too. This picture of “Cherry Avenue” was shot in that morning.

数日前、テレビの「ザ・世界遺産」番組で紹介された「オオカバマダラ」が、LLシホヤ新井教室のA1クラス(英検準2級レベル)の「長文読解」で扱っています。
Some days ago, “Monarch butterfly” was introduced on a TV program, “The World Heritage”. It is also done on the text of A1-class (Eiken Pre-2nd level) as “a long passage reading test”.

Monarch butterflies are one of the most common butterflies in the US, Canada and Mexico, and can be found all over North America.
オオカバマダラは、アメリカ、カナダ、メキシコで最も一般的な蝶の一つで、北アメリカ全土で見られます。
Their wingspread is about 10 cm. The wings are bitter orange in color, with black stripes and white dots. They look like other familiar dedicate butterflies.
翼は濃いオレンジ色で、黒い縞と白い斑点がある。それらは他のお馴染みの繊細な蝶のように見えます。
It is surprising that some Monarch butterflies go back to the same woods by using the same route every year.
毎年同じ道順で同じ森に戻るオオカバマダラがいるということは驚きです。
今週(火)～来週(月)が、2013年度LL英語レッスンの最終レッスンです。どのクラスも、通常レッスン前に、「これまで学習した内容の復習」をふんだんに盛り込んだアクティビティを楽しんでいます。
Every class started “enjoying Review Activities just before usual lesson” this Tuesday and ends next Monday that is the last one of LL year of 2013.
