In spite of fall season, it was very hot like midsummer; OAT: outdoor air-temperature was over 30 ℃ outside
Though they are old enough to want playing all day long, Yoshy was happy to be able to teach their way of Speech.
Yoshy hopes all contestants will do their best with relaxed mood there!

Some of them had kept practicing to learn their given range of recitation by heart in their home since June and some did nothing.
Some of LL students wonder why they must join the Speech Contest.
From old ancient times, there is a treasure of “harmony” in Japanese thoughts in our deep mind.
“Non-verbal communication”, “A tall tree catches much wind.” etc… It should be admired to be some kind of virtue to try to be peaceful around or in our close community.
But, you know, in this world which has become rapidly smaller than before, much more frictions against other countries have occurred and have seemed to be bigger day by day.
Yoshy believes children must learn “his/her powerful and flexible attitude in his/her unexpected case of trouble.”
One of the most important purposes of practicing “LL Speech Contest for elementary and junior high school students” should be “to get used to lots of stressful situations”; Yoshy believes.

Some little mice lived in a large house. An old cat also lived in the same house. All the mice were very much afraid of the cat, so one night they all got together and had a meeting. “What can we do about the cat?” they asked each other.
At last an old mouse stood up. “I have a good idea,” he said. “Let us tie a bell on the cat. This way, we will know when he is coming, because the bell will ring” “Good! Good!” all the mice cried. “Let us bell the cat at once. Hurrah! We need not fear the cat any more.” They were so happy that they danced around the room.
Then suddenly a young mouse asked the old mouse, “Will you tie a bell on the cat?” “No, I can’t I’m too old,” he said. The young mouse asked another mouse the same question. “No, no, because I can’t run fast,” he replied. Then all the mice said together, “We cannot do it!” Then one by one they stole away to their holes.
